Kid's Class

Who It’s For:
One-time kids classes are a perfect way to give wheel throwing a try, but not commit to a 6-week course. The class will consist of a demonstration by the teacher, throwing your own bowl or mug on the wheel, and picking out your color. Typically, this class lasts about an hour. Parents are welcome to stay and watch. Kids Classes are available to be scheduled for groups of 6 or more, Monday-Friday during the day. Ages 6-12 years old are welcome to join (ages 13-18 are welcome to join our adult classes). Clay, glaze, and firings are included. Please call us to schedule.

Who It’s For:
6-Week Kids Classes allow kids to fully learn the process of pottery and a chance for them to be creative in a unique way. The class will consist of learning how to throw, a snack break, and finishing up the pieces (adding handles, glazing, etc.). Finally, we love to celebrate the ending of the 6-Week course with a pizza party! These classes occur once a week for 6 weeks. For groups of 6 or more, classes are available to be scheduled Monday-Friday during the day. Each class lasts about 2 hours. Parents are welcome to stay and watch. Ages 6-12 years old are welcome to join (ages 13-18 are welcome to join our adult classes). A minimum of 6 kids is needed in order for a session to occur.

• Basics of wheel throwing
• Different shaping techniques
• Glazing techniques
• Electric kiln firing basics

What You Will Receive:

Our 6-Week Kids Classes are designed to provide the kids with everything they need in order to throw their own piece of pottery. They will receive the clay, be able to use the glazes, and we’ll take care of the firings for them.

• Snacks and a Pizza Party at the end of the 6 week class
