What You Will Receive: Our 6-week classes are designed to provide you with every thing you need in order to throw your own piece of pottery. You’ll receive the clay, be able to use the glazes and we’ll take care of the firing for you. Included:
25 pounds of clay
Glaze included
Bisque and glaze firings included
Additional clay can be purchased
What You Will Learn: Our experienced potters will take you through the entire process of learning how to make a piece of pottery, from throwing it on a wheel, designing it, firing it and glazing it. At the end of 6 weeks you’ll have a finished piece of pottery made by your own hands. Students learn the following:
Classic clay centering style
Classic throwing style
Different shaping techniques
Trimming process
Decorating process
Glazing techniques
Electric kiln firing basics
